The Bluetooth Star Trek Communicator – my new favorite gadget

If you were around as a kid in the 1970’s as I was, you might have been a fan of the cool toys and playsets from various movies and TV shows like The Bionic Man, Star Wars, Space 1999, etc. I loved watching the old 1960’s Star Trek back in the day, but mostly I loved the cool props from the TV show. I wouldn’t call myself a Trekkie (or Trekker as the case may be) but I’ve always loved the props from the original Star Trek series.

My love of all things vintage lives in peaceful coexistence with my love of new tech gadgets. What was once a sci-fi dream is now a reality, much like video calls, self driving cars and countless other things we take for granted in modern life that were once the realm of fantasy.

Well, technology has finally made one of the coolest toys available…the working Star Trek communicator. In this video, I branch out beyond the safety razor and highlight one of my favorite new gadgets. Call me a nerd and I’ll hold my head high!

Beam me up Scotty!
